Founded in 1905 the Club celebrated its Centenary year in 2005. We’re very active and we extend a warm welcome to all walkers and lovers of the countryside. We’d particularly welcome new members of all ages to join us on one of our many walks in 2016 into 2017.
We’re based in Bolton in Lancashire and have members of all ages and from a range of backgrounds. For a modest annual fee you can enjoy all the hidden delights of rural Lancashire and beyond the best way there is, on foot!
Try us out first?
We’ll introduce you to walks you may not know and in turn you can offer us your favourites. Choose an easy-going walk to see how you like it and move up to greater challenges later if you wish.

The Countrywide Holiday Association, (C.H.A.) originally had many holiday centres located throughout the country. In the 1990’s the company ceased trading, however many of the Clubs that were formed have continued to use the name of the Association and have flourished by offering different activities to members.
