COACH TRIPS – 2020


The details of walks will be announced by leaders on the coach, on the day of travel. Comfort stops (if any) and length of travel will also be announced.  Full payment of £12.00 should be sent, when booking, to the under mentioned coach organisers, from the stated dates. All cheques must be made payable to Bolton C.H.A. and not the coach organisers.  If vacancies exist one week before the trip is due, non members, including accompanied children, may apply.  The fee for children aged 16 or under, will be £6.00.  

All coach journeys start and finish at Bolton Bus Station, Newport Street (Stand G). On journeys using the M 61 northwards, the coach may pick up/drop off passengers near the Bee Hive Roundabout, Chorley New Road, by arrangement. No other stops will be made.


Responsibilities – Coach Trips:

The Secretary is responsible for:

a.   Collecting all monies.

b.   Sending ALL monies to the Treasurer – Frank Wall

c.   Ensuring leaders have a reserved seat on the coach.

d.   Contacting the coach company prior to the event to confirm seat numbers.

e.   Ensuring that the coach company and driver are aware of any drop off/collection points that any of the walking parties wish to make for starting/ending of their walks.

f.   Ensuring all members are on the coach.

g.  Checking the coach when members have disembarked for left luggage.


Leaders - The walk leaders are responsible for:


a.   Finding and reconnaissance of appropriate walks.

b.   Announcing the routes, distances and any other relevant information in respect of the walks

      on the coach, on the day of travel.

c.   Leading the walks on the day.

The Countrywide Holiday Association, (C.H.A.) originally had holiday centres throughout the country. The company ceased trading in the 1990’s but many of the Clubs have continued to use the name of the Association and have flourished by offering different activities to members.
